To my customers and friends,
After 26 years in the public safety uniform and equipment business I am announcing my retirement and the sale of the business asset of M & M Uniforms, Inc. to Pittsburgh Public Safety Supply, Inc.
My retirement decision is based on my desire to do more things away from the business with my family and friends and to basically slow down and smell the roses. This was not an easy decision. I will miss the everyday interaction with the many customers who have become my friends over the years.
I do intend to work with the new owner on a limited basis to assist in the transition.
First let me state that it will be business as usual in the Bridgeville, PA store after the sale of the assets. The current sales staff will continue with the new owner. The sewing staff will also continue with new owner. The store will stay at 427 Railroad Street in Bridgeville and continue the name M & M Uniforms, as a division of Pittsburgh Public Safety Supply, Inc.
The Elizabeth, PA store will remain open while our customers are transition to our Bridgeville location and then will be closed on July 31, 2018.
Now about the new owner. Matthew Fowkes started Pittsburgh Public Safety Supply, Inc. He operates a large, modern store located on Neville Island, PA. He has been involved in public safety for over 20 years as a volunteer firefighter & EMT. Matt is passionate about the business and is committed to providing top quality products and service at competitive prices. With this acquisition, he will have two full service locations conveniently located near major interstate exits providing customers with easy access from any direction.
I ask each of you to support Matt and his staff at both locations. I’m certain you will be pleased with the friendly professional service you will receive.
Finally, I want to thank each and every customer for the patronage and support over these 26 years. You all have played a large part in the success of my business. I wish you good health in the years to come and will say a prayer each day for your safety. Thank you all….
Yours truly,
Raymond A. Skundrich, President
